About

Hi there! Thanks for popping by. Since you’re here you clearly want to know a little more about me, so here goes:

First off, my name is Nadia. In 2013 I left work to become a stay at home mum. This was very much a spur of the moment decision and one of the best I have ever made. Now, I am a mum to two amazing little girls (aged 4 and 7) though you will probably never see them unless you know me in real life. I share a lot about my kids and our parenting journey, especially on social media, but I keep their identity private.

I am incredibly proud to say that I am an Award Winning Blogger, YAY! having walked away with the Best Wisdom Post Award for the South African Parenting Blog Awards in 2019. It is wonderful to have hard work acknowledged and I am incredibly honoured. Since starting my blogging journey, I have been fortunate enough to have been featured in a number of places. Besides being a mum and a blogger, I am also a Homeschooling Mama! Yep, Covid turned our world upside down and this has been one of the unexpected benefits. We started our journey in Jan 2021 and things are going great so far!

I started writing as a way to process my parenting journey. As with a lot of women, I did not take to motherhood as easily as I thought I would and this was my avenue to process my feelings and also connect with other mums going through the same experiences. Since then I have grown an incredible following of mostly women who trust and engage with me on a daily basis. I have worked with both big and small brands and loved every moment of it.

  2. I, too, have a deep aversion to actually speaking to people. Fortunately, I’m no longer and English professor; I’m a stay-at-home dad, so I only have to deal with a four-year old boy. Great blog. Looking forward to reading new posts! Cheers.
